Four strand necklace with Watermelon Tourmalines, pearls sterling silver and silk, with a stunning Thai Karen filigree sterling silver orchid pendant as a focal.
The strand with the orchid pendant has smooth ovals of watermelon tourmaline in earthy greens, plums, blacks and browns, with some larger shard shaped tormaline ner to the focal itself, like ripe juicy leaves of reds and greens. in between these beads, are sterling silber swirl basket beads, and twisted silver spacers. the pearl strand are small white freshwater pearls, the other watermelon tourmaline strand has the same greens, reds, and black, this time in tiny rectangles with Thai Karen printed beads in between. the last strand, as explained below is made of a stunning silk hand dyed ribbon, which can be tied at the back when the necklace is closed by the sterling silver twisted toggle clasp, or the ribbon can just be left to hang loose at the back or sides.
the shortest strand is the rectangle tourmaline strand, which closes at 14 inches, like a choker, with the other strands all slightly looser than each other, for a one of a kind statement piece.
I will not reproduce this one off design, but I can make something similar if someone would prefer a larger style, or if someone like this desiign, when this one has sold, you can ask for a custom design in a similar style.
about the ribbons;
I bought some fantasic silk hand dyed ribbons, fom a wonderful etsian named Jamnglass. These ribbons have my favorite colours in, such as: Navy Wine Copper Brown Tan Pink and Blue Green. The necklace listed here, and some of my other new designs incorporate these beautiful ribbons.
